What to send overseas? Military wives / families please help?!?

Hello everyone. My boyfriend is in the service and going to Ali Al Salem in Kuwait later this month. This is the first time he is going to be deployed since we've been together. I will be writing him a few times a month but I'd also like to send stuff to. Is it okay to send snack food like cookies? I also wanted to maybe frame a picture of us and send it over there too so he could have some stuff in his dorm. Any ideas are appreciated! Thank you!
