Boy trouble... Only 5th grade...?

Okay so yesterday a new kid moved in. He isn't in any of my cles though. I thought he was cute but no crush. At recess (yes i'm in 5th grade!) I wanted to meet him. My friend is in all his cles so she was going with me. We were walking slowly towards him when all my other friends pushed me towards him. I was laughing and trying to go back. Then one of my other friends went to the new kid and pointed me out to him. my friend came back and said he thinks I have a huge crush on him. I DON'T! I yelled across the field "I don't like you like that!" I just wanted to be friends... What do I do?
