Girls: Guy's Underwear?

Are girls (and guys that want to answer) out there alright with their guys going without underwear? I think it should be ok if a guy practices good hygiene (i.e., wipes well). I think clothes (jeans, athletics shorts, and cargo shorts) are made out of comfortable materials today such that underwear is not a necessity as it once was. The material is also good enough to handle frequent washes. I think this is definitely so with American Eagle and Abercrombie and Fitch jeans and shorts and the same goes with Adidas, Nike, and Puma soccer shorts.
