The Champagne will be fine if you let it warm up to room temp. If you want to keep a bottle of wine a long time you want to keep it cool (cellar temp) but just as important or more is avoiding rapid temperature changes and high temps. You can cook wine if it gets to warm and a lot of rapid changes can make it tired. Find a nice dark spot to keep it outside of the the refrigerator probably not the garage if it could freeze there ( a really bad thing) put it back in the frig a couple of days early and enjoy, it is a great bottle of wine.
