Why do people compare politicians to hitler or the antichrist?

Seriously, i always see comparisons of pretty much every politicians to either the anti christ or hitler. Do they think that christians are all complete morons to believe in such claims? Ohh, Hilary is an anti christ, don't vote for her! I recently saw some black preacher (james manning) rant about obama being hitler. Who the hell listens to this ****?
